Bio

Growing up in the deserts outside of Phoenix, Arizona, Alan developed a love for reading and writing from an early age.  His first works included a number of crudely drawn picture books in the 5th grade, as well as a novella titled My Teacher Ate My Homework, an homage to Bruce Coville's My Teacher is an Alien series.  While the handwritten work was lost to the ages, Alan's desire to write would continue, and he would go on to write his first novel-length piece of fiction at the age of 16.

After winning an award for the Outstanding Freshman Paper in 1996 from the Brigham Young University chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, Alan continued to quietly write short stories and fragments of several novels for friends and family while indulging in a predilection for travel.  Finally settling back in his native Arizona, he has found the time and fortitude to write a novel to completion.  With a little luck, hard work and perseverance he hopes to see his debut novel The Silver Token in print someday soon!
